Let’s Pray for ‘em

March 26, 2008

I heard the news yesterday that our Ex-President Cory Aquino is fighting against Colon Cancer and will be on chemotherapy session. I am at the same time deeply saddened by the recent news Kris Aquino revealed about her 2nd pregnancy from her basketball player husband, James Yap. Kris loses her pregnancy of 7 and a half weeks after it has been confirmed that she was pregnant last March 13. And this is just unhappy news to talk about.  Kris sent text message to her closest friends about the ruled miscarriage she had. Her gestational sac collapsed and her ovum is blighted.  I am not a big fan of Kris, but I wish her to be a strong woman in body and in mind. God has reasons why it did happen. Let us all pray for the faster recovery of our ex-president as well as for her family.

Happy Easter

March 23, 2008

Happy Easter! Finally, the blossom of spring is here. We had a great day yesterday though it rained a little bit. We spent our day yesterday at the beach. Hubby and his comrade went snorkeling while I was just swimming at the shore and scorching the heat of the sun afterwards together with Haole- my Maltese dog.  The swell was pretty rough so I didn’t go snorkeling with hubby. We might be going to the other side of the island later today and go fishing. See you later guys!

Spring, Spring, and Spring!

March 20, 2008

Hurray! Spring break is finally here. A new life, a new beginning of transformation evolves. I need to get out and use my green thumb again. I cannot wait to see our plumeria tree blossoming. It’s another gay moment to spend with friends and family. Happy springtime everyone!

Happy St. Paddy’s Day!

March 17, 2008

Today, is the feast of the patron saint of Ireland- St. Patrick. It’s actually a bit of the Irish and a Catholic holiday that has evolved into more of a secular holiday amongst everyone. Irish folks gather to celebrate this special day with the traditional icon, SHAMROCK. This three-leaf that St. Patrick used during his sermons signifies the TRINITY. Thus, it represents the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. People also celebrate the day with parades, wear something green, eat green foods, and of course, drinking beer. St. Patrick’s Day is intensely popular among Americans as well since 1737. That year was the first year St. Patrick’s Day was celebrated publicly, especially in Boston. On the other hand, the reason why St. Patrick’s Day is  popular because it takes place a few days before the start of spring.

Congrats, Pacman!

Last night was Manny Pacquiao’s fight against the Mexican boxer, Juan Manuel Marquez.  I feel bad for not able to watch a live feed of my favorite boxing icon’s fight, but I am very happy to hear that he won and stole the world title after a late charge win by split decision.  I heard that Marquez claimed that he was robbed and wants another fight just to prove that he is better than Manny after a total of 24 rounds and 4 KOs. Hurray! It is another triumph for the Filipino boxing icon who is now the WBC super featherweight champion of the world. Congrats, Manny!  The entire Filipino communities are so proud of you.
